18th Century Lake Como Villa opens doors to guests
Villa Sola Cabiati is open exclusively for guests of the Grand Hotel Tremezzo on Lake Como, Italy.
The Grand Hotel Tremezzo in Lake Como has announced that it will now be operating Villa Sola Cabiati, a private residence that previously owned by the Serbolloni family of dukes.
“Villa Sola Cabiati is an artistic masterpiece, a rare jewel of Italian ars vivendi. Until recently, the magnificent villa was available for private use only, but from today, the Grand Hotel Tremezzo is overjoyed to open the doors of the noble residence exclusively to its guests” says Paolo De Santis, CEO of the Grand Hotel.
The villa sits adjacent to the hotel, along the Riviera della Tremezzina and can be reached by a short drive or water taxi. The property offers a unique space for events such as parties and private dinners, or guests can simply come for a visit to explore the villa’s art, architecture and aristocratic artefacts, as well as the sprawling Italian gardens. The villa’s grand building is flanked by two side wings and boasts a large staircase, marble balconies and a series of frescoes inspired by Virgil’s Aeneid. The property also has an extraordinary collection of tapestries, vases and majolica as well as historic furniture including a bed Napoleon once slept in.
