A new Design Hotel in Berlin

The lively district of Charlottenburg in West Berlin has a new resident.

For luxury European lifestyle brand SIR Hotels, each boutique property is shaped on the home of a fictional character. These characters are upper class individuals of the contemporary era; worldly, sophisticated and stylish. SIR properties reflect these traits and the latest edition to the collection, SIR Savigny is no different.

Located in the lively suburb of Charlottenburg in West Berlin, SIR Savigny is a 44-room luxury retreat that oozes character and charm. Modelled on its namesake, a bon vivant (one who enjoys the finer things in life), the property, originally built in 1893, has been outfitted by a team of designers, hospitality brand The Entourage Group and is a member of the Design Hotels collection.

The guest rooms and suites are the work of Amsterdam-based designer Saar Zafrir and feature interiors brimming with local art, vintage rugs and custom-made furniture. While the ground floor reception rooms have been envisioned by interior designers Baranowitz + Kronenberg and function as open public spaces that seamlessly connect to The Library (housing Sir Savigny’s book collection) and The Butcher, a burger bar serving quality culinary fast food.

SIR Savigny is surrounded by art nouveau architecture, bookstores, galleries, jazz clubs and cafes.

Rates start from €150 (about A$217) per night.
