Accessible by seaplane from Malé (30-45 minutes), or via speedboat from Dharavandhoo Airport, the 75-island atoll features more than 100 dive sites, including Hanifaru Bay, a protected marine area and home to the world’s largest known seasonal manta ray feeding aggregations.
Soneva Fushi
Modern-day Robinson Crusoe would be an epicurean, right? And he’d be right at home with his toes in the sand at Soneva Fushi. Touted as the “original barefoot island”, the resort’s expansive overwater residences include retractable roofs – perfect for stargazing – and direct-to-lagoon waterslides, giving guests even more connection to the elements.
