The celebrated Tasmanian hideaway has introduced a new space that is as private as it is beautiful
Pumphouse Point has unveiled The Retreat, a warm and uniquely Tasmanian space designed with daring elements and reflecting the property’s surrounding natural beauty. Hidden on the edge of Lake St Clair and hugged by native bush, the new all-inclusive wilderness experience features locally crafted furniture, ceramics, bath products and two deep tubs for soaking (one under the stars!), which all combine to create a space to escape, retreat and rejuvenate.
The Retreat will add to the current lineup of 19 rooms available to book at the property, but while the existing rooms are located in the Pumphouse building out on the lake, The Retreat finds its home in a separate, exclusive space in the Shorehouse building on the water’s edge. Inclusive of all food including farmhouse fare dinners at shared tables in the Shorehouse dining room, The Retreat offers an expanded larder brimming with the best local produce, wines and Tasmanian craft beers, ciders and spirits, as well as a few surprises (did we mention the cocktails?).
