Stay among redwoods in a luxury Airstream
Get off-the-grid and into the outdoors in the heart of Sonoma, California.
California-based glamping provider, Autocamp, has opened a new property in the heart of Sonoma’s wine country that allows travellers to reconnect with their natural surroundings without sacrificing luxuriously appointed accommodation.
Just 90 minutes north of San Francisco, the Russian River Autocamp is set within a forest full of California’s native redwood trees and offers luxury canvas tents, as well as Airstream trailer suites.
All accommodation is fitted with premium hotel bed linens, spa-inspired bathroom amenities and walk-in showers in the trailers. The camp also has Wi-Fi available throughout.
Hiking trails are available in the Armstrong Woods State Park and the Russian River is within walking distance of the camp, offering swimming and canoeing. The nearby town of Guerneville is a good spot for foodies, with a selection of reputable local restaurants, bars and shops.
Nearby, some 70 wineries offer wine tasting in one of North America’s premier wine regions.
Rates start from US$135 (about A$176) per night for a tent and US$250 (about A$327) per night for an Airstream trailer.
