ABOUT THE HOTEL
The 360-room Four Seasons Hotel Macao is near The Plaza Macao, The Plaza Casino and The Shoppes at Four Seasons. If gaming is your holiday sport, you’ll be close to the action and if shopping is your thing, The Shoppes at Four Seasons is Macau’s largest luxury shopping mall with more than 80 luxury brand stores including Brioni, Canali, Cartier, Chanel, Armani, Gucci, Hermès, La Perla, Louis Vuitton, Valentino and Versace. The mall is connected to the famous The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Macao and any trip to Macau is not complete without popping in there for a looksee.
UNIQUE FEATURES
Unique in Macau, this hotel has five outdoor swimming pools making it feel more like a resort than a hotel and suitable for families.
DINING
One of the hotel’s restaurants, Zi Yat Heen (awarded two Michelin stars in 2010) serves authentic Cantonese cuisine and dim sum. If you weren’t staying at Four Seasons Macao, you’d travel there to dine at this restaurant.
SPA
The spa has 14 treatment rooms and offers massages, facials, salon services and body treatments including scrubs and wraps. It’s open until midnight every day.
HIGHLIGHTS
There are 11 poolside cabanas (with flat-screen TVs) which make a great base for the day especially for an adult supervising children at the pools.
COULD DO BETTER
There’s a no food service in the cabanas policy which ruins the mood a little. You have to walk just a few metres to Splash, the poolside restaurant, but it would have been so nice to have stayed by the pool for lunch and not have to sit up at a table and wait for service.
IF YOU’D LIKE TO UPGRADE…
The next suite up is the Ambassador Suite which is 167 square metres and has a personal library and two marble bathrooms. The per night price is MOP16,888++ (about A$2,166) per night.
INSIDER TIPS
If you don’t want to leave Macau without dining at Zi Yat Heen, be sure to make a booking along with your hotel reservation.
