The Maybourne Beverly Hills Hotel
Set just off Canon Drive, The Maybourne Beverly Hills blends European polish with Californian ease, delivering quietly glamorous suites, design-led dining and a spa experience that brings a sense of calm to the heart of Los Angeles
Why stay here
The Maybourne sits just off Canon Drive, in the golden triangle of Beverly Hills, surrounded by palm-lined streets, galleries and boutiques. It carries an easy rhythm that feels refined without being showy, well suited to its quietly glamorous setting. The entrance opens into marble, brass and soft light, with staff greeting guests with the same understated confidence that runs through the hotel. Check-in is smooth and discreet, and the hotel’s scent – faintly floral, with a touch of wood – gently signals a shift in pace. From the outset, it feels composed and reassuring, a place designed to make arrival seamless and to let the city recede, if only slightly, from view.

In the suite
Our Terrace Suite reflects The Maybourne’s European roots with Californian ease. Interiors are layered with oak, limestone and linen, creating a tone of understated luxury. The marble bathroom features twin vanities, a rainfall shower and a magnified mirror built seamlessly into the glass, offering a small but thoughtful touch that blends function with design.
In the adjoining lounge, curved armchairs and textured rugs sit beneath modern art pieces, while a private terrace looks out toward the Beverly Hills skyline. Afternoon light moves softly across the space, illuminating subtle details, handmade ceramics, crisp cotton drapes and bronze fixtures that add quiet warmth.
A welcome tray of chocolates, chilled champagne and a handwritten note waits on arrival, setting the tone for a stay and immediately putting us right at home.

Dining and design
The Maybourne’s design, led by celebrated architect and designer, André Fu (of The Upper House fame, among other luxe hotels), and Rigby & Rigby, marries European classicism with Californian light. Public spaces are elegant but comfortable, with art-lined hallways, sculptural floral arrangements and custom furniture that invite lingering rather than passing through.
Breakfast at The Terrace brings that design sensibility outdoors. Surrounded by terracotta tiles and green ivy, the setting feels like a European courtyard reimagined for Los Angeles. The menu is simple and generous: avocado toast with heirloom tomatoes, just-baked pastries with honey butter, and perfectly folded omelettes served on white linen.
Upstairs, Dante Beverly Hills continues the conversation between design and mood. Its rooftop setting captures LA’s golden evenings, pairing skyline views with the restaurant’s signature martinis and a menu of refined coastal Italian dishes. The seafood linguine, made with lemon and bottarga, is light and perfectly balanced, while the tiramisu arrives with just enough espresso bitterness to linger.

Wellness and Calm
The Maybourne Spa is one of the city’s most sophisticated sanctuaries. A palette of soft stone, natural wood and muted lighting sets a calm tone. The magnesium vitality pool sits at the centre of the space, framed by mosaic tiles and quiet corners for reflection. I experience The Maybourne Signature Facial, which uses botanical formulas, and notice an immediate difference in the of my skin brightness following the long-haul travel. Every movement in the facial feels purposeful, from the cooling masks to the gentle steam that follows.

Exploring Beverly Hills
Beyond the hotel, Beverly Hills is easy to explore on foot. A guided tour with local historian Brian Rodda reveals the neighbourhood’s layered past, from its golden-age movie sets to the boutiques that have shaped modern LA style. The tour begins with smoothies from Erewhon and ends at And Sons Chocolatiers, Oprah’s favourite sweet spot, for a box of hand-painted truffles.
Community engagement sits at the heart of the hotel’s ethos. Over the past year, The Maybourne has supported a range of charitable projects, from blood drives and school fundraisers to the Eat.Donate.Love. campaign, which united six luxury hotels to donate $175,000 to wildfire relief across California.

The Maybourne Experience
Throughout the stay, service remains quietly exceptional. The concierge team knows the area intuitively and anticipates needs before they arise, from dinner reservations to early airport transfers. The pace is unhurried and the experience feels personal. The Maybourne Beverly Hills isn’t just a place to stay. It feels like a place where European polish meets Californian rhythm, a place designed to let you slow down, recharge and experience the best of Beverly Hills with utter ease.
