A new Pullman Hotel

Pullman Hotels and Resorts has unveiled its new hotel, the Pullman Shanghai Jing An, in central Shanghai. The new hotel marks a rebranding of the former Grand Mercure Shanghai Central, which has undergone a year-long refurbishment.

The hotel is located in Shanghai’s central business district; only three-minutes walk from main metro lines and the railway station, and close to shopping and entertainment hubs.

“The newly refurbished and rebranded Pullman Shanghai Jing An offers discerning travellers a warm sanctuary amidst the hustle and bustle of metropolitan Shanghai with its innovative design, business, fitness and restaurant facilities,” says Michel Molliet, Chief Operating Officer of AccorHotels Greater China.

The hotel features 288 guest rooms and suites, furnished with flat screen televisions, luxurious bedding and contemporary bathroom amenities. Up to 350 guests can be accommodated in the hotel’s two ballrooms and five meeting rooms, or alternatively private meetings can be held at the executive club lounge on the 27th floor. Leisure facilities include a yoga studio, 20-metre lap pool and fully equipped gym, in addition to a spa which is due to open in 2017.

The hotel lobby will feature a custom artwork exhibition by renowned Chinese artist Qin Ming, which will be on display until February 2017.

Guests can dine at Venu, an all-day international buffet and a-la-carte restaurant, or alternatively can choose to dine in one of the 19 private rooms at the Chinese restaurant, which serves authentic Shanghainese cuisine.

The new Pullman hotel is one of the most recent additions to the AccorHotels group, which has more than 4,000 hotels, resorts and residences worldwide.
