The cabin
The Air Mauritius Airbus A340/A330 aircraft features new generation lie-flat seats on their craft. The cabin is tastefully appointed with crème coloured walls, blue carpets and orange coloured fabric with brown leathered trim seats. Seats have a 52-centimetre pitch, affording travellers the privacy of their own cocoon with remote-controlled adjustments and a massage option. The cabin has a two-two-two configuration, with allowance for 34 passengers in business class.
Comfort
Seats are fitted with inflatable lumbar pouches for additional comfort. When rest time beckoned, large blankets and nice, big pillows were provided by attentive cabin staff. Passengers are provided with convenient travel kits which contain refreshing L’Occitane toiletries.
Service
The staff on Air Mauritius were all extremely polite and courteous throughout the flight.
Meals
The meals served onboard Air Mauritius draw their inspiration from across several global locations. A diverse range of meals and wines are offered to passengers – with flavours of Creole, European, Indian and Asian influence. The wine menu is extensive and the Mauritian vanilla tea was particularly soothing and refreshing.
Entertainment
The entertainment system is adequate in business class with individual, lift out screens and enough high quality digital new releases and classic movies to occupy you on the near nine-hour flight. With multilingual features, a good selection of TV and the latest international albums, you’ll soon pass the time while in the air. On the A330-200, the interactive AVOD (Audio and Video on Demand) system enables you to control the pace of your in-flight viewing. Video games for one or more players are also offered on board the A3400-300E and the A330-200.
Baggage
The baggage allowance per passenger, adult or child, in business class for non-European Air Mauritius flights is 30 kilos. The maximum weight for any checked piece of luggage is 32 kilos and the dimensions in length, weight and height should not exceed 158 centimetres.
