Belmond has announced renowned Australian chef Luke Mangan will host a journey on its Eastern & Oriental Express train in October.

Luxury rail and property company Belmond has announced a partnership with renowned Australian chef Luke Mangan on its Eastern & Oriental Express train. The first hosted journey departs 28 October 2016 and will travel from Singapore to Bangkok over three days and two nights.

The collaboration with Eastern & Oriental Express is the latest in a range of travel-related partnerships Mangan is involved with, including Virgin Australia, luxury resort Amilla Fushi in the Maldives, Hilton Hotels, and P&O Cruises.

Starting in Singapore, guests can opt to join Mangan for a morning tour of the exotic food market before boarding the train for the journey through Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

On the second day of the trip, Mangan will serve food from specially created menus to 82 guests in the train’s two dining cars.

The Singapore – Bangkok journey is priced from A$3,243 per person, twin share.
