Halcyon House exhibits photography by artist-in-residence George Byrne

Boutique NSW property Halcyon House has announced a weekend exhibition to showcase the results of its first artist-in-residence program. The exhibition titled Colour Field, will display the photographic work of Australian artist George Byrne (brother of actress Rose Byrne) and will include shots of the property’s natural surrounds and a number of the small towns in the area, all taken by Byrne while in-residence at Halcyon House. The exhibition will also include some of Byrne’s iconic topographic work that seeks to expose the gritty underside of Los Angeles, where he is currently based.

Guests can book a weekend exhibition package which includes: two nights’ accommodation; an exhibition launch cocktail party with George Byrne on Friday night; daily breakfast and a four-course lunch hosted by George Byrne and men’s online style retailer MR PORTER, of which Byrne is an ambassador. MR PORTER will also run a style session for guests during the Saturday morning as well as a surfing lesson on Sunday.

The Weekend package runs from 19 – 21 May and prices start from A$1660. The exhibition is also open to the general public.
