Pimalai Resort and Spa Koh Lanta

Tucked amongst the lush tropical rainforests and the Andaman waters in the region of Koh Lanta, the Pimalai Resort & Spa is a luxurious blend of modern comforts and being at one with nature.

About

The name “Pimalai” is derived from ancient Sanskrit, meaning “a little patch of heaven”. The essence of Pimalai is all about being treated and spoiled in an almost ‘secret’ location – where guests can connect with the beautiful natural surrounds and take time to focus on themselves and each other in any of the 121 rooms, villas or suites.

The resort is removed from the bustle of crowded beaches and ideally located to make the most of the nearby Lanta Marine National Park. Popular with honeymooners, those seeking a romantic escape and keen divers, Pimalai can be reached by a one-hour highly scenic speedboat ride from the Krabi mainland.

Dining

There are four restaurants and dining venues onsite where the vegetables served are harvested from the resort’s Rim Ping organic farm that stretches for a mile along the banks of the Ping River. Dining options include Spice N’ Rice Thai Restaurant, The Seven Seas Wine Bar and Restaurant, Rak Talay Beach Bar and Restaurant, The Banyan Tree Pool Side Restaurant and Café and private dining on the beach or in your villa.

What To Do

The resort offers direct access to over 900 metres of soft, sandy beaches.  Snorkelling and some of Thailand’s best dive spots can be reached at nearby Koh Rok and Koh Haa. Several other water sport options are available to guests including canoeing, windsurfing, paddle boarding and sailing. On land, there are several elephant camps along the island where you can ride atop these amazing creatures. In nearby Lanta Marine National Park, you can see all sorts of wildlife and birdlife in their natural habitat including Gibbon monkeys. A tennis court onsite, cycling options and tracks and a pampering spa to soothe tired muscles at the end of the day are all part of the guest experience.
