Sofitel Wellington to reopen in October

Wellington’s newest luxury hotel will reopen its doors on 9th October after an almost year-long closure. The hotel has been closed for repairs following a fire that broke out just a few months after its opening in July 2016.

While the décor and much of the staff will remain the same as before the closure, the hotel restaurant Jardin Grill will serve up a newly designed menu created by executive chef Royxeenn Giam.

The 129-room hotel is located in Wellington’s CBD, six minutes’ walk from the Wellington Botanic Gardens and five minutes from The Beehive (the Executive Wing of the New Zealand Parliament Buildings). Room rates start from NZ$269 (about A$245) per room per night.
