Spanish fare in the air

Cathay Pacific has rolled out a partnership with The Langham, Hong Kong to offer a new inflight menu on its newly announced direct route from Hong Kong to Madrid. The airline will be offering the new menu from now through August to Business Class passengers.

The Langham, Hong Kong’s executive chef and Spanish native, Pedro Samper, worked with Cathay Pacific’s head of catering, Aaron Claxton, to design the menu, which includes Spanish-inspired dishes like Basque-style cod with clams in salsa verde sauce; and slow-cooked Iberico pork cheek in Tempranillo wine with black truffle potatoes.

The airline’s new Madrid route includes four direct flights from Hong Kong weekly. Australian travellers can take advantage of any of Cathay Pacific’s flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Cairns, or Adelaide to Hong Kong before continuing on to Madrid.
