YTL Hotels will open two new Ritz-Carlton properties in Asia.

YTL Hotels has signed two management contracts to develop two new Ritz-Carlton hotels in Thailand and Japan.

Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui will be developed in Plai Laem, Choeng Mon on the north-eastern tip of Koh Samui in the Gulf of Thailand.

With 187 guest rooms and pool villas, the resort will be set on the beachfront and is due for completion in early 2018.

The hotel will be a welcome addition the YTL Hotels portfolio in Thailand, which already includes The Surin Phuket and the Eastern & Oriental Express train, which travels from Singapore to Thailand.

Also in the works is the Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Niseko Village, Hokkaido, Japan. The hotel will feature 50 luxurious guest rooms with premium dining options, traditional Japanese onsen and wellness facilities, as well as ski-in and ski-out access during the ski season.

Designed to provide a new level of luxury accommodation in the area famous for its powdery snow, the resort will also offer golf, trekking and horse riding during the summer months.

YTL Hotels’ Niseko Village already includes Hilton Niseko Village, The Green Leaf Niseko Village and Kasara Niseko Village Townhouse. Ritz-Carlton Reserve is due to be completed by 2020.
