Why private jet travel will exceed your holiday expectations
Destination Cloud Nine … why private jet travel exceeds holiday expectations.
In partnership with Navair Jet Services
Margaret River for Chardonnay, Kangaroo Island for Southern Ocean Lodge, Hamilton Island for golf … whether it’s a getaway with friends, a luxury weekend celebrating a big birthday, or an embarkation for a cruise long planned, arriving by private jet is the icing on the cake.
Navair Jet Services is an Australian-owned and operated jet charter company specialising in a range of flight charter services including corporate trips and leisure charters. As they like to say, “We all love a holiday – but not all holidays are created equal.”
Operating from airports in Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and other major cities, Navair not only plans and executes charter jet flights, they coordinate ground transfers and can recommend and book experiences and luxury accommodation such as Huka Lodge in New Zealand, Capella Lodge on Lord Howe Island, or Longitude 131 at Uluru (Ayers Rock).
Navair operates the largest fleet of modern light jets in Australia. Light jets typically carry up to six or seven passengers, covering from 1000 to 1800 nautical miles. Light jets such as the Cessna Citation CJ3+ or Phenom 300 are popular options for quick business trips and short getaways.
Flight flexibility
Private charter flights are about more than just luxury and glamour, although those are key appeals! Charter a private jet for convenience, comfort, privacy, flexibility, and business efficiencies. They offer the advantage of seamless customs and immigration procedures, ensuring smooth border crossings.
The experience is also more bespoke – in-flight entertainment and gourmet catering can be curated to suit passengers for whom these are a priority.
Can’t bear to leave behind furry companions, let alone consign them to the hold of a commercial airline? On a private plane, pets are welcome to come along for the ride.
With a private jet, you land at your destination in the most direct way – in and out of the closest airfield and straight off to where you want to be, minimising the overall travel time and the stress that travel can place on both passengers and pets.
There are other benefits. On a charter flight, golf lovers spend less time dealing with the handicaps of airports. Whether headed for King Island in Tasmania, Hamilton Island in Queensland or Kauri Cliffs in New Zealand, there’s ample room for clubs, and time to perfect their swing.
Wine enthusiasts bound for the Hunter Valley, the Barossa or the fabled Margaret River are guaranteed more wine, less wait, ample space for wine purchases and the opportunity to travel like royalty.
On the up and up
Private jet use has increased by 20% since the onset of the pandemic. Private charters carried 40 per cent more passengers in 2022 than pre-Covid, driven by the perceived unreliability, costs and queues of commercial airlines.
There are reported to be, today, some 23,000 private jets in operation globally: 65 per cent are in the United States, 15 per cent in Europe, with Australia and Oceania in third position.
Post-Covid, Navair Jet Services reported a 278 per cent rise in bookings which led to an expansion of their fleet, staff numbers and holiday experiences.
