The Hearth x Fervor experience at The Ritz-Carlton, Perth represents a rare meeting point between luxury hospitality and the rugged beauty of Western Australia’s native food traditions. Created in collaboration with acclaimed culinary collective Fervor, the series showcases rare, foraged ingredients and open-fire techniques across seasonal dining formats that place storytelling, provenance and cultural authenticity at the heart of every encounter.

At Hearth’s Fire Feasts, held alfresco on the terrace overlooking Elizabeth Quay, guests dine communally around an open firepit. Chefs Brian Cole and Paul ‘Yoda’ Iskov prepare a three-course menu that draws upon traditional fire cooking, highlighting ingredients sourced from across the state — from boab tuber and youlk to native basil and crocodile tongue. Each course is framed with chef-led insights, allowing diners to connect with the land and its Indigenous food systems through flavour and narrative.

For a more intimate format, the Chefs’ Counter Experience seats just six guests for a theatrical, live preparation inside the restaurant. Here, the culinary artistry is paired with sensory drama — smoking plates, poured-at-table broths, and a menu featuring unusual elements such as coal-toasted meringue and even native ants. This rarefied encounter emphasises both innovation and tradition, making each dish a dialogue between culture, landscape and technique.

The partnership extends beyond Perth through a curated luxury travel package. Guests are flown north to the Dampier Peninsula, where they join Indigenous guide Bolo Angus on Bardi-Jawi country to forage and learn traditional practices before sharing in an under-the-stars bush cook-up. The day’s harvest becomes the centrepiece of an exclusive dinner prepared with a mobile fire kitchen by Cole and Iskov — a rare blending of remote wilderness, ancient knowledge and elevated Ritz-Carlton service.

Together, these dual experiences — one in the city, one in the Kimberley — offer luxury travellers an immersive gateway to Western Australia’s culture and landscapes.
