Raffles Sentosa Singapore

On a hilltop framed by tropical gardens, Raffles Sentosa Singapore reimagines the legendary Raffles name through a contemporary lens. The resort is Singapore’s first all-villa property, a design statement that signals both exclusivity and a new chapter in the city’s luxury narrative.

The vision comes from Yabu Pushelberg, the acclaimed design studio known for crafting immersive experiences. Here, their approach blends sculptural forms, curated art, and lush landscaping into a seamless whole. Villas unfold across expansive gardens, each with its own pool, offering privacy while maintaining a dialogue with the South China Sea. Interiors are refined but warm — a balance of bespoke furniture, carefully chosen textures, and subtle cultural references that anchor the resort in place.

Guest experience is choreographed through design. Floor-to-ceiling glass dissolves boundaries between inside and out, while the careful placement of lighting shifts mood from tranquil mornings to dramatic evenings. Public areas — restaurants, spa, and lounges — are designed less as formal spaces and more as extensions of the villa lifestyle, creating continuity throughout the resort.

Landscape plays a starring role. Indigenous planting patterns echo Singapore’s biodiversity, softening built forms and creating corridors of green. Sculptural gardens and open courtyards offer moments of pause and contemplation, reinforcing the property’s role as a sanctuary within the city.

Sustainability is embedded in the project’s DNA. Passive cooling strategies, eco-conscious materials, and water efficiency measures reduce environmental impact, while the expansive gardens support local ecosystems. Here, luxury is reframed as quiet, responsible, and deeply connected to nature.
