Wintjiri Wiru, which launched in May 2023, combines ancient Anangu storytelling of the Mala story between Kaltukatjara (Docker River) and Uluru with state-of-the-art drone, laser and light projection technology. It is the first time an experience of this magnitude has been performed on a regular basis anywhere in the world. Tourism Australia describes it as a game-changer for the tourism industry. A launch was held for 140 guests in May including community, government and industry representatives, supplier partners and media.

Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia consulted and collaborated closely with a group of ten senior Anangu from the local Indigenous communities to bring Wintjiri Wiru to life, taking great care to ensure the story would be told in the right way.
