Internationally renowned hospitality group, Hilton, has announced the opening of Umana Bali. The latest addition to the LXR Hotel & Resort portfolio, Umana Bali marks the brand’s inaugural resort in Southeast Asia.
located on the southernmost tip of Ungasan, Umana Bali is comprised of 72 curated villas with framed ocean views. The design of the resort is inspired by the ancient rice paddy fields in Umam and influenced by the Balinese Tri Hita Karana philosophy. Umana Bali emphasises nature, people and spirituality, and creates an authentic connection with nature and holistic wellness rituals.
The villas, starting from a sprawling 403 square metres, showcase private infinity-edge pools and outdoor hot tubs. To cater to larger groups and families, Umana Bali offers a three-bedroom Umana Pool Villa spanning over 1,200 square metres.
The architectural configuration and interior design, designed by WATG | Wimberly Interiors, reflect Balinese beliefs and customs, etching Bali’s living artistry into patterns and spaces to foster a vibrant sense of community.
Umana Bali prioritises responsible tourism, collaborating with local artisans and using eco-friendly amenities, commissioning unique pieces of art and sourcing local materials.
The resort’s wellness offering consists of bespoke minibars and curated in-villa breakfasts as well as personalised and holistic ancient healing traditions and contemporary therapies at the Lohma Spa. Activities can be tailored to the whole family and include yoga, sound healing and meditation. Dedicated pampering and relaxation therapies are also available for little ones, from balancing back and scalp massages to foot treatments and ‘breathe into calmness’: a breathing exercise followed by stretching and sound healing with a Tibetan singing bowl.
Umana Bali offers five restaurants and bars, with 80% of their produce sourced locally in Bali. Mediterranean restaurant, Oliverra, is located at the clifftop of the resort and features an interactive show kitchen, Babi Guling. Southeast Asian cuisine with a local twist is dished up at Commune, while Pad Pool Bar and Mer Lounge gives guests the chance to create the handcrafted cocktails found in their minibar. A Miami-inspired restaurant with fresh Peruvian flavours, Uma Beach House, will also open in April 2024.
To celebrate the resort’s opening, Hilton Honors members will receive 10,000 bonus points with a minimum stay of three nights booked from December 1, 2023, to May 31, 2024.
