Aman announces the Maldives as latest resort destination

Aman Maldives will open in what the brand says is one of the world’s most spectacular island destinations: the Vaavu atoll

Luxury hotel and resort brand, Aman, has announced its latest destination: Aman Maldives, a private island oasis that will open in the serene Vaavu atoll. This new development marks Aman’s 21st destination and brings the total number of Aman properties across the globe to 35.

Aman Maldives will consist of a 52-key resort and 16 branded residences, designed by longtime Aman collaborator, Kerry Hill Architects. The Vaavu atoll is one of the most secluded and exclusive parts of the Maldives, known for its exceptional diving, and the new resort and residences will continue Aman’s tradition of timeless and minimalist architecture that blends seamlessly with the natural environment. The design and architecture will take inspiration from the white coralline beaches, verdant land and clear turquoise waters for which Maldives is so renowned.

The resort will offer standalone pavilions ranging from one to three bedrooms, each with a private pool and spread across the main island to ensure utmost privacy and space. Aman Maldives will also feature multiple restaurant venues, a beach club and various private dining options, crafted to enhance the island living vibe.

Wellness is central to Aman’s brand ethos, so it comes as no surprise to hear Aman Maldives will also offer an expansive wellness offering. The resort’s spa will span a massive 2,638 square meters and be situated on its own island. The spa will include two private Spa Houses – a signature feature of Aman properties – and promises guests innovative and holistic experiences in health and rejuvenation. For the more adventurous, the resort will offer a dive centre and water sport activities, enabling guests to explore some of the Maldives’ most pristine coral reefs.

Aman Maldives will also be home to 16 ultra-exclusive Aman Residences. These luxurious homes, ranging from five to ten bedrooms, will each be set on its own private islet, providing unparalleled seclusion and a unique vantage point for witnessing the Maldives’ spectacular sunrises. Each residence, located within close proximity to the main resort’s amenities, will come equipped with a 25-metre swimming pool and a personal landing jetty.

With private beaches and spacious layouts, they represent the ultimate in luxury living for those seeking solitude in what is arguably one of the world’s most beautiful locations.

Aman Maldives is part of the brand’s robust pipeline of upcoming properties, joining other high-profile developments in locations such as Beverly Hills, Niseko and Bangkok.
