Bookings open for Hamilton Island’s first family-friendly luxury hotel, The Sundays

The hotel will open in autumn 2025 at the northern end of Catseye Beach

Bookings are now open for The Sundays, the first family-friendly luxury hotel on Hamilton Island, set to welcome its first guests from autumn 2025.

“This new venture marks a new era for Hamilton Island,” said Pete Brulisauer, CEO of Hamilton Island Enterprises. “We have listened to our guests and crafted a place that combines luxury with a contemporary design focus while offering relaxation and adventure, amidst the stunning backdrop of the Great Barrier Reef.”

Located at the northern end of the palm-fringed Catseye Beach, guests will have access to a new oceanfront swimming pool and private cabanas, while The Sundays’ waterside restaurant and bar offers al fresco dining with panoramic views of Catseye Bay.

The Sundays offers 59 elegantly designed rooms designed by designer Carrie Williams, who worked with the project’s construction team to convert a pre-existing 1990 building into a light and airy, modern hotel. The new interiors reflect the essence of Hamilton Island’s tropical surroundings, showcasing a serene colour scheme and stylish interiors that overlook resort gardens and the Coral Sea. Accommodation options include Balcony, Terrace, and Family Connect (interconnecting) rooms, all crafted to ensure that families feel right at home.

“The Sundays will offer curated experiences blending relaxation and adventure. From Sun(day) salutations on our activities deck to exploring the clear waters of Catseye Bay with complimentary paddleboards, kayaks, and catamarans, every moment is designed to create unforgettable memories,” stated Pete Brulisauer.

Just a few hours away from Australia’s east coast, The Sundays is accessible via daily direct flights to Hamilton Island from Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
