The luxury tour group Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) is offering a new itinerary by private jet in 2024, accompanied by founder Geoffrey Kent.
Stops on the 26-day itinerary will include remote locations such as Saint Helena and Easter Islands, as well as off-the-beaten-track destinations like Senegal, Uruguay, and Malta.
“This adventure takes us around the world on one of the most compelling itineraries I’ve ever created, with nearly every stop well off the typical tourist paths — with several places I’ll be visiting for the first time”, said Kent.
Forty-six guests can join the journey aboard A&K’s privately chartered Boeing 757, which is equipped with lie-flat beds, an open bar, first-class meal service, and a dedicated cabin crew.
The trip will be led by a tour director, with tour managers guiding guests on the ground, accompanied by resident guides and local experts. A professional photographer also joins the trip to document special memories for guests.
Authentic Experiences
To ensure an immersive journey, special—and, at times, exclusive—experiences have been integrated at each destination, says Kent:
“We will be among the first to experience a private tea ceremony in Kanazawa’s Kenroku-en Garden, enjoy an audience and dinner with the King of Ladakh and take part in a private parade in Malta as the guests of honour — and that’s only the beginning.”
In Japan, guests will discover the west coast city of Kanazawa and have the rare opportunity to dine at Keta Taisha Shrine, with a performance of the Sacred Shinto dance. An exclusive Central Asian polo match will be played in the former Himalayan kingdom of Ladakh, in India; while in Senegal, a 4×4 ride will charter the route of the Dakar Rally though the desert, and a visit to the beautiful Pink Lake. On the agenda in Uruguay are private tango lessons, a visit to the workshop of local artist, Carlos Paez Vilaro, and a meal curated by Francis Mallmann, the Argentine chef celebrated for his approach to wood-fired cooking.
Around the World with Geoffrey Kent: an Inspiring Expedition by Private Jet departs 13 October 2024, with prices from $285,000 per person, double occupancy.
