Ever Bloomfield is opening on the Daintree Coast as Australia’s newest rainforest retreat

The 14-key all-inclusive retreat on Queensland’s Daintree Coast welcomes first guests from 1 November 2026

Ever Bloomfield, a new 14-key all-inclusive retreat on Australia’s Daintree Coast, will open to first guests from 1 November 2026, with bookings now live. Accessible only by boat or helicopter, and open to guests of all ages, the property will sit where the Daintree rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef – offering direct access to two UNESCO World Heritage environments within a single stay. It is the first property in the Ever Lodges portfolio.

“Ever Bloomfield has been shaped by a genuine belief that the best hospitality is felt rather than performed – that what guests remember isn’t a checklist of inclusions, but the people who made the place come alive for them,” said Matt Casey, CEO of Ever Lodges.

Designed for place

The property was designed by Wolveridge Architects with interiors by Jacqui Dunn Interiors. Suites will be built from local timber and stone, with a colour palette drawn from the Daintree foliage and original artwork and accessories by local Indigenous and Daintree artists throughout.

Communal spaces include the Long Room, set up for light-filled breakfasts and lunches before shifting to candlelit dinners among artefacts from Bloomfield and Daintree history. The Pool Lounge and the Speak Easy – a bar with a pool table, dark amber light and a deliberately curated spirits list – complete the social spaces. All meals are chef-prepared and included in the rate.

Expeditions and experiences

Overseeing the guest experience is General Manager Patrick Barrie, whose career spans qualia, Saffire Freycinet and Longitude 131°. “Bloomfield has something rare – a setting that asks something of you,” Barrie said. “It asks you to slow down, to pay attention, to be present.”

Barrie said the team itself was central to the experience. “What I’m most proud of is the team we’re bringing together here. These are people who love this part of the world, who find the reef and the rainforest genuinely extraordinary, every time. That enthusiasm is contagious, and it shapes every interaction.”

The expedition program will include a full-day Great Barrier Reef Safari by custom vessel to Cedar Bay, East and West Hope Islands and Pickersgill Reef, with snorkelling, citizen science and a chef-prepared lunch on board. A Daintree Rainforest UTV Adventure will take guests through rainforest, open savannah and paperbark forest alive with birdlife by guided side-by-side. The CREB Track and Roaring Meg Falls journey will conclude with a smoking ceremony with Traditional Owners, a walk to the falls, lunch at an outdoor rainforest kitchen and an afternoon of creek swims.

Room categories and rates

Four room categories will be available, all offered on a fully all-inclusive basis and priced per suite per night for two guests:

• Queenslander – from $5,400 per night
• Suite – from $4,900 per night
• Cabin – from $4,900 per night
• Lodge Suite – from $3,900 per night

All-inclusive covers accommodation, all meals, premium beverages, daily in-room bar, guest laundry, and road and boat transfers. Cellar list wines and spirits, and private or helicopter-based touring, are available at additional cost.
