Four Seasons launches its first luxury yacht at sea

Four Seasons has launched its first purpose-built yacht, extending its hotel-led approach to service into ultra-luxury travel at sea
Four Seasons has officially entered the ultra-luxury cruise space with the launch of its first yacht, marking a significant expansion of the brand beyond hotels and resorts.
The inaugural vessel, Four Seasons I, began its maiden voyage on 20 March 2026, signalling the company’s move into a category that blends private yachting with structured itineraries. The launch coincides with the 65th anniversary of Four Seasons, linking the debut to the opening of its first hotel in 1961.
While hotel groups have increasingly explored alternative formats from branded residences to private jets, the move into yachting reflects growing demand for more flexible, experience-led travel, particularly at the high end of the market.

Design and accommodation
At 207 metres in length, Four Seasons I has been conceived as a residential-style vessel, with just 95 suites and no interior cabins. Each accommodation includes indoor–outdoor living space, with many featuring private terraces and plunge pools.
The design draws on traditional superyacht references while adopting a contemporary approach, with contributions from Tillberg Design of Sweden and Martin Brudnizki Design Studio. Larger accommodation categories include the Funnel Suite, measuring approximately 929 square metres at the forward prow, and the Loft Suite at the aft.
A one-to-one guest-to-staff ratio underpins the service model, aligning with Four Seasons’ established positioning in high-end hospitality.

Dining
Dining is positioned as a central part of the onboard experience, with 11 restaurants and lounges offering a range of concepts, from Mediterranean seafood to omakase-style dining.
A rotating Chef-in-Residence program will bring chefs from Michelin-starred Four Seasons restaurants onto the yacht for limited engagements, introducing menus tied to each sailing.
Beyond restaurants, a series of indoor and outdoor venues shape the daily rhythm on board, from open-air bars with plunge pools to more intimate cocktail lounges.

Wellness
Wellness facilities are anchored by the onboard spa, which includes thermal experiences such as sauna, steam and hydrotherapy, alongside treatments incorporating newer recovery technologies.
Programming extends to fitness sessions, meditation and personalised wellness plans, reflecting a broader industry shift towards longevity and preventative health as core elements of luxury travel.
A notable feature is the yacht’s transverse marina, which opens across both sides of the vessel, allowing direct access to the water for swimming and water sports during designated marina days.

Itineraries
Voyages are structured around a mix of well-known destinations and smaller ports, with itineraries designed to be tailored in advance rather than fixed excursions.
Initial sailings focus on the Mediterranean, before shifting to the Caribbean and Bahamas in winter. In its first year, Four Seasons I will operate 32 voyages across 52 sailings, visiting more than 130 destinations across over 30 countries.
Further vessels and routes are planned, positioning Four Seasons Yachts as a long-term expansion of the brand rather than a one-off venture.
