A multi-year upgrade across more than 1,800 rooms marks a new chapter for the Singapore icon

Marina Bay Sands has completed the transformation of all rooms and suites in Towers 1 and 2, marking the largest and most comprehensive upgrade since the resort’s opening in 2010. The multi-year refurbishment – spanning over 1,800 keys – is part of the property’s broader strategy to elevate its positioning as a global luxury hospitality destination.

“This milestone marks the beginning of a new era for Marina Bay Sands,” said Paul Town, Chief Operating Officer of Marina Bay Sands. “It is also a strong statement of our commitment to set new benchmarks in luxury hospitality, and to redefine the future of integrated resort experiences.”

Led by interior design studio Michael Fiebrich Design, the reimagined rooms bring a contemporary and layered aesthetic, using neutral palettes, custom lighting, and furnishings designed specifically for the property. Textures and finishes reference Singapore’s architectural, natural and cultural identity, with curated artwork featured throughout the rooms and common areas.

The transformation introduces five new signature suite categories – Horizon, Marina, Skyline, Straits and Sky Sanctuary – located on the upper floors of the hotel towers. These ultra-luxury suites offer panoramic views over the city skyline and Gardens by the Bay, and include amenities such as wellness rooms, private gyms, in-suite spa facilities, and butler service. Some suites feature entertainment lounges and custom-designed dining areas for in-room hosting.

Corridors, lift lobbies and key guest arrival points have also been refurbished. Tower 3 is next in line for similar upgrades, with enhancements expected to be completed in stages.

The renovation complements a wider S$1.75 billion reinvestment into the existing Marina Bay Sands footprint, separate from the resort’s announced expansion plans. These include the development of a fourth hotel tower featuring additional luxury suites, new dining and nightlife venues, and a 15,000-seat entertainment arena.

Marina Bay Sands is currently celebrating its 15th anniversary and recently welcomed its 500 millionth visitor – a milestone that underscores its role as one of Asia’s most visited hospitality and entertainment destinations.
