The 32-suite vessel will bring contemporary design, exclusive tomb access and a renewed sense of intimacy to one of the world’s most storied rivers
A new chapter in Nile cruising is on the horizon with the announcement of Nile Seray, Abercrombie & Kent Sanctuary’s latest riverboat, set to debut in 2026.
The name Seray – meaning ‘palace’ – signals the brand’s ambition for the vessel. Designed for just 64 guests, it will be the line’s most spacious ship to date, with only 32 suites starting from 33 square metres. Each includes floor-to-ceiling windows, Juliet balconies and large bathrooms, while two signature suites add private terraces with spa pools overlooking the Nile.

Life on board
The ship will feature two restaurants – one indoors and one alfresco – plus a spa with two treatment rooms, a well-equipped gym and a wide top deck with canopied daybeds, a pool and wraparound river views. Menus will highlight Egyptian flavours alongside international classics, with cooking classes and cultural entertainment further immersing guests in the destination.
A&K’s history on the river stretches back to 1977, when founder Geoffrey Kent leased the SS Memnon after a chance encounter on the set of Death on the Nile. Since then, the company has continued to pioneer luxury cruising in Egypt.
“Nile Seray represents the evolution of our nearly five decades of pioneering river cruising in Egypt,” said Cristina Levis, CEO of AKTG. “This vessel embodies our understanding that luxury today is defined not by excess, but by space, authenticity, and the quality of experience.”

Immersive journeys
Sailing four-night itineraries between Aswan and Luxor, Nile Seray will combine headline sites such as Karnak, Luxor and Aswan’s temples with cultural experiences ranging from felucca sailing to cooking classes, Dervish performances and hot-air balloon rides over the Nile valley. Guests will also enjoy rare access to the tombs of Nefertari, Seti I, Ramses VI and Tutankhamun – experiences not usually offered on standard tours.
Every sailing will be accompanied by expert Egyptologists, with all meals, excursions and onboard amenities included. Each booking also supports A&K Philanthropy projects in the region, reinforcing the company’s long-standing community commitment.
Nile Seray launches in 2026, with bookings to open closer to departure.
