The famed Hotel de Paris Monte Carlo has not only recently completed its four-year renovation, but has also unveiled an extravagant new suite to rival the Princess Grace Suite, which opened last year

After completing a four-year, multi-phase renovation in February, the Hotel de Paris Monte Carlo in Monaco has recently revealed a brand new, lavish suite dedicated to Prince Rainier lll, a tribute to Monaco’s “Prince Builder”.

The unveiling of the sumptuous new accommodation follows last year’s reveal of the Princess Grace Suite, which is dedicated to Her Serene Highness Princess Grace of Monaco, arguably the most globally famous Monégasque, and goes for a whopping €30,000 – €40,000 per night.

The two-bedroom Prince Rainier Suite is a rooftop villa of roughly 525 square metres making it the largest suite in the hotel. Guests can also get the equivalent of 600 square meters of space through the use of an adjoining room. The entire suite has views overlooking Monaco’s iconic Place du Casino.

Interiors combine the luxury of noble and precious materials with contemporary design, creating a space that is light and cosy with clean lines and a warm atmosphere. In terms of amenities, guests can experience their own steam shower and sauna, private bar in the lounge, an office space and a superb 135 square-metre terrace with an infinity pool and wave system.

The opening of the Prince Rainier III Suite coincides with the start of a new chapter for the iconic, five-star property that has just completed the most important renovation and restructuring program in its history.

With the addition of more contemporary and greener spaces including gardens and planted alcoves, Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo has also added a new rooftop wellness space with 370 sqm of indoor spaces and 490 sqm of outdoor spaces, a terrace, swimming pool and loungers, steam room, sauna, fitness room and bar/lounge area.

The hotel’s rooms are now larger at a minimum of 34m2 and feature precious materials such as Tussar silk for mattresses, chandeliers and lamps in Murano glass and floors in white Calacatta marble.

A new Mediterranean restaurant by famed French chef Alain Ducasse, ÔMER, on the ground floor of the new Rotonde wing of the hotel, is a nod to Monaco’s waterside environment, referencing the décor of a boat and overlooking the hotel gardens with the sea visible in the distance. The menu includes flavours and tastes from Greece, Lebanon, Turkey, Morocco, and Tunisia – with a hint of the Hispanic, Nice and Maltese shores.

The new tree-lined Le Patio offers an exclusive setting for leading jewellery houses from December 2018, such as Graff, Harry Winston, Stardust Monte-Carlo and Omega. Le Patio offers direct access to the Avenue des Beaux-Arts, opening onto the new One Monte-Carlo shopping area and its beautiful promenade.

The legendary Bar Américain, meanwhile, unveiled its new look in the summer 2018 with new interiors created by David Collins Studio.

Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo lies in the heart of Monte-Carlo and has direct access to the renowned Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo, as well as being home to some of the world’s finest dining addresses such as the Michelin-starred Le Louis XV – Alain Ducasse , the iconic Le Grill restaurant and wine cellars.
