QT Hotels & Resorts to open first Southeast Asia property in Singapore
Historic eastern extension telegraph building to house new luxury hotel in financial district
QT Hotels & Resorts has announced the upcoming opening of QT Singapore, the brand’s first property in Southeast Asia. Debuting in September 2024, QT Singapore will occupy the iconic Eastern Extension Telegraph building, built in 1927 in the heart of Singapore’s financial district, next to the famed Lau Pa Sat hawker centre.
The new hotel will feature 134 redesigned guest rooms and suites, each reflecting QT’s signature style, merging modern luxury with local historical architecture. The complete renovation will honour the building’s heritage while introducing contemporary design elements that cater to today’s discerning travellers. Interiors are tailored to Singapore’s tropical climate and the building’s architectural heritage, promising an immersive experience that blends comfort with sophistication.
Key features of QT Singapore include several new food and beverage offerings, such as a signature bar and grill and the transformation of the rooftop into Rooftop by QT, complete with a bar and pool. These spaces are designed to offer guests and locals alike an inviting place to relax and enjoy panoramic views of the city.
QT Singapore will open its doors with room rates starting at SGD 499 per night. Reservations are available for stays beginning 16 September 2024. The hotel is expected to attract business and leisure travellers, offering a convenient and luxurious base to explore the city.
