Regal palace retreat Raffles Jaipur opens in India’s pink city

The brand’s second property to open in India is located near Jaipur’s top attractions and surrounded by the ancient Aravalli Hills

Raffles Hotels & Resorts has opened its second property in India: Raffles Jaipur, following the 2021 debut of Raffles Udaipur. Situated near Jaipur’s renowned attractions and encircled by the ancient Aravalli Hills, Raffles Jaipur offers guests a palatial experience in Rajasthan, nodding to the rich royal history of the region.

“At Raffles, we look for world-renowned destinations rich with history, beauty, and culture, which is what led us to grow our presence in Rajasthan – whose ancient heritage of forts and palaces continues to inspire and capture the imagination of international travellers,” said Omer Acar, CEO of Raffles Hotels & Resorts.

The hotel, crafted from pure white marble, showcases exquisite Rajasthani craftsmanship, blending traditional Mughal and Rajputana architectural techniques. With 50 unique guestrooms and suites, each features expansive balconies, outdoor soaking tubs or plunge pools, painted corniced ceilings, golden murals and locally sourced artefacts.

Raffles Jaipur also encourages guests to immerse themselves in local culture. Highlights include a Shikar tent reminiscent of Royal Mughal expeditions, sandstone columns from various Rajasthani eras, and a grand hall leading to a light-filled atrium. Exclusive dining, artisan masterclasses and private concerts will feature in the hotel’s calendar of events, along with an upcoming Artisan Trail designed to connect guests with local artisans and their crafts.

Dining options at Raffles Jaipur include Arkaa, a specialty restaurant celebrating progressive North Indian cuisine with locally sourced ingredients, rooftop bar Sehara, which offers Mediterranean-inspired dishes, and Safir, serving afternoon tea. In true Raffles form, The Writers Bar offers a locally-inspired version of the brand’s famous Singapore Sling called the ‘Jaipur Sling’.

Raffles Jaipur also boasts a 620 square-metre spa with treatment rooms and mineral pools, a fitness studio and a rooftop pool with city views. The hotel even has a signature scent: a blend of neroli, orange blossom and saffron, while the legendary Raffles Butler Service, which includes curated healing rituals inspired by Rajasthani traditions, is also on offer.

“Every element of Raffles Jaipur has been thoughtfully considered, from the architecture and design to the culinary offerings and wellness experiences. We hope to inspire our guests to immerse themselves in the local Rajasthani culture, while inviting locals to experience their home through a lens that is distinct to Raffles,” stated Binny Sebastian, General Manager of Raffles Jaipur.
