Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection expands into Asia-Pacific with new superyacht

Luminara will offer luxury voyages across 28 ports in 10 countries, enhancing ultra-luxury cruising in the Asia-Pacific region

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has announced its expansion into the Asia-Pacific region with its new luxury superyacht, Luminara. Starting in December 2025, Luminara will offer ten distinct voyages spanning 28 ports across 10 countries, including destinations in Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, and Thailand.

The expansion marks a significant milestone for the brand, which aims to provide culturally immersive journeys for discerning travellers.

Jim Murren, Executive Chairman and CEO of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, emphasised the brand’s commitment to offering personalised and unforgettable experiences.

“As luxury travellers continue to seek unforgettable, personalised experiences around the world, we are thrilled to introduce voyages in the Asia-Pacific region. These new itineraries exemplify our steadfast commitment to continually raising the bar in luxury cruising, offering innovative ways to experience our superyachts and explore vibrant local cultures across the globe,” Murren said.

Luminara will debut with 226 spacious suites, accommodating up to 452 guests. The superyacht will feature world-class dining, an extensive wine collection, a signature Ritz-Carlton Spa, and a dynamic marina providing direct access to the sea. The onboard experience promises to uphold the brand’s commitment to enriching experiences and legendary service, with one of the highest staff-to-guest ratios at sea.

The itineraries, ranging from 10 to 15 nights, will begin in Tokyo, Hong Kong, or Singapore. Guests will explore ancient treasures and modern marvels, with stops in coveted ports such as Hạ Long Bay, Vietnam, and Puerto Princesa, Philippines. The journeys will also include access to vibrant city centres like Seoul, South Korea, Osaka, Japan, and Bangkok, Thailand.

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s debut with Ekrima in October 2022 marked the brand’s first foray into the cruising category. With the upcoming launch of Ilma in September 2024 and Luminara in July 2025, the collection continues to redefine luxury cruising by delivering extraordinary explorations at sea.
