ROKI Collection Queenstown opens with alpine views, dining and design

ROKI Collection | The Terrace | Queenstown, New Zealand
The ROKI Collection has opened its first New Zealand property in Queenstown, bringing contemporary design, world-class dining and curated wellness to one of the world’s most spectacular alpine destinations
Queenstown’s dramatic landscape has long attracted travellers seeking both adventure and indulgence. Now, the opening of the ROKI Collection introduces a new luxury presence in the heart of town. The boutique property, designed by Sumich Chaplin Architects with interiors by acclaimed New Zealand designer Virginia Fisher, features just 15 suites, each oriented towards sweeping lake and mountain views.
Accommodation ranges from spacious one-bedroom retreats to the seven-bedroom Grand ROKI Suite, only available by application. At the pinnacle is the 550-square-metre ROKI Suite, with four ensuite bedrooms, private lift access, a rooftop plunge pool, sauna and personal butler. Other suites offer outdoor fireplaces, terraces and dedicated family layouts, while all are appointed with understated, design-led luxury. Guests also have use of the hotel’s Rolls-Royce Cullinan for evening drop-offs into Queenstown.

Paul Froggatt at the helm
The opening also introduces a first for British-born, New Zealand-based chef Paul Froggatt, who brings his cuisine beyond a lodge environment for the first time. As culinary director, Froggatt oversees three venues including Essence, a fine-dining destination marrying modern European technique with New Zealand provenance; The Terrace, an all-seasons seafood restaurant with alpine views; and The Library Bar, a relaxed lounge for wine and cocktails.
“Essence is about a cuisine that feels international in style yet unmistakably New Zealand at its core,” Froggatt said. “The Terrace is designed to be effortless – fresh seafood, a glass of wine, and views that remind you why Queenstown is extraordinary.”

ROKI Pure: A dedicated wellness sanctuary
The property’s wellness offering, ROKI Pure, includes two private treatment suites, a thermal zone, indoor pool and jacuzzi. The programme features treatments grouped under “Rituals, Resets and Rewilds,” along with a Sleep Concierge service that highlights the increasing focus on personalised rest within luxury travel.

At the gateway to adventure
ROKI Collection Queenstown is within walking distance of the city centre, the Skyline Gondola and Steamer Wharf, and offers tailored excursions including private boat charters, fly fishing and vineyard lunches in the mountains.
