The newest Ritz-Carlton Reserve has opened on Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit, placing 91 cliff-edge sanctuaries, a major wellness centre and a strong cultural lens within a private 920-acre enclave on the Emerald Coast
A new chapter in Mexico’s luxury landscape has arrived on the Emerald Coast with the opening of Siari, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, set between the Sierra Madre foothills and the Pacific. The property sits inside Nauka, a 920-acre private enclave in Riviera Nayarit, and is positioned by the brand as a nature-led retreat shaped by local culture and discreet service.
“Siari represents the essence of Ritz-Carlton Reserve, destinations that capture the soul of their surroundings,” said Jamie Kerr, Head of Global Brand Marketing for The Ritz-Carlton. “As the ninth property in the portfolio, Siari is a testament to our continued commitment to places of rare beauty and cultural depth.”

From suites to private residences
Created by Mexico City firm Bernardi + Peschard Arquitectura, the resort’s 91 standalone accommodations include ocean-view suites and larger beachfront villas – and are built with locally quarried stone, native timber and handwoven elements. Open-air layouts frame the cliffs and jungle, while the five-bedroom Siari Presidential Estate anchors the collection.
The property also includes 34 private residences designed for extended stays, stretching along 6.9 kilometres of coastline beside one of the region’s largest swimmable beaches.
Dining with David Castro Hussong
Five dining venues are led by chef David Castro Hussong, whose menus draw from regional produce and coastal traditions. Highlights include Zula, focused on refined Nayarit cuisine; Estero, a casual dining space; and Naao, which blends Asian techniques with local ingredients. A wood-fire concept and a patisserie created with pastry chef Maribel Aldaco round out the offering.

The Há Yeka wellness centre
The resort’s 2,601-square-metre wellness centre, Há Yeka, takes its name from the Indigenous Wixárika word for water and wellbeing. Facilities include hydrotherapy, volcanic-stone treatments, open-air rooms and rituals inspired by indigenous healing practices, while arrival rituals incorporate locally foraged botanicals and sensory elements connected to the surrounding landscape.
Exploring the Emerald Coast
Guests can access hiking routes through the Sierra Madre, private yacht excursions from Nauka’s deep-water marina and activities at The Wild Kinship Center for younger travellers. A Tom Fazio–designed championship golf course is reserved exclusively for Siari guests and residents. General Manager Guillermo Varela says the aim is “to create a retreat where discovery unfolds naturally,” with experiences designed to reflect the coastline’s ecology and cultural heritage.

Access and arrival
Siari is 45 minutes from Puerto Vallarta International Airport and 35 minutes from Tepic International Airport, where United Airlines will launch the first U.S. carrier service via weekly nonstop flights from Houston starting 20 December 2025. Guests arriving by private jet, helicopter or yacht have access to on-site FBO services, two helipads and deep-slip marina facilities.
The resort joins the expanding Ritz-Carlton Reserve collection, which includes Mandapa in Bali, Higashiyama Niseko Village in Japan, and properties in Puerto Rico, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, China, Costa Rica and another Reserve in Mexico.
