The Peninsula’s much-anticipated London hotel has opened its doors following a years-long construction on the site between Hyde Park Corner and Wellington Arch, in the heart of the prestigious Belgravia neighbourhood.

Designed by renowned architect and interior designer, Peter Marino, the 190-key hotel houses one of London’s largest private suites, the Peninsula Suite — which, when interconnected with six other rooms and suites, spans 1,490m2. Guests of the suite will have access to a private screening room, a gym, and a dedicated pick-up and drop-off service.

Dining includes Brooklands, offering modern British cuisine from chef director Claude Bosi (of the two-Michelin-starred Claude Bosi at Bibendum), and Canton Blue, inspired by the maritime spice-trade routes connecting Britain and Asia. Two bars, a cigar lounge, and a café complete the food and beverage offering, while other five-star amenities include a spa and wellness centre, and a shopping arcade with luxury boutiques.

British-themed guest experiences

To celebrate the opening in the UK capital, The Peninsula has planned a series of special amenities and menus at its properties around the world.

British breakfast dishes like Kedgeree and a Full English will be served in the Peninsula’s Lobby restaurants, while a quintessential British Afternoon Tea has been curated by group executive chef Florian Trento, featuring classics such as Coronation chicken sandwiches, Eton mess roulade, and trifle.

At turn down, hotel guests can expect to return to their rooms to a selection of English toffee and handmade fudge.
