Uniworld announces new cruise program

The luxurious, all-inclusive cruise line, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, has unveiled what’s new for 2023.

The luxurious, all-inclusive cruise line, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, has unveiled what’s new for 2023.

Uniworld’s 2023/24 program will include three new Rhine itineraries in Europe, an extended Mekong river cruise, new cruise extension offerings and the new Rivers of the World itinerary.

Ellen Bettridge, President and CEO of Uniworld, says that bookings from Australia and New Zealand are up by 38 per cent on 2019, indicating that travellers from these regions are booking longer itineraries and higher cabin categories.

New Europe itineraries

In 2023, Uniworld will launch three new itineraries across Europe.
The 15-day Grand Central Europe itinerary will cruise along the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers, through Switzerland, France, Germany and Austria. Highlights will include climbing to the treetops of Bamberg in Baden Baden; wandering the Bavarian forest; and sailing the picturesque Wachau Valley.

The 10-day Zurich & the Rhine River Valley itinerary will sail along the Rhine and Main rivers through Switzerland, France and Germany. Guests will immerse themselves in history and enjoy nature with activities such as a canoe ride through the Mainschleife nature reserve and a day in the lakeside city of Zurich.

The 8-day Belgian Holiday Markets itinerary will showcase Belgium’s magical Christmas markets and delicious holiday treats at the most festive time of year. A lesser-known holiday market destination, Belgium boasts Christmas towns unlike any other in Europe sans large crowds.

New evening experiences

Uniworld’s ‘Nights Out’ private evening experiences will now be included on almost every European itinerary in 2023. New experiences include an evening at:

Faber-Castell in Nuremberg, a German pencil dynasty and one of the oldest family businesses in the world founded in 1761 on the Delightful Danube itinerary

An after-hours visit to Bassins des Lumières in Bordeaux, the largest digital art center in the world devoted to major historical artists on the Brilliant Bordeaux sailing

A private visit to Saint Sava church in Belgrade with a concert from the boys’ choir and brandy tasting from the Monks on the Highlights of Eastern Europe trip.

New Masterpiece Collection experiences

New immersive shore excursions have been added to Uniworld’s Masterpiece Collection portfolio, available to guests for an additional fee. These optional excursions are designed to highlight a destination’s authentic culture, sights and cuisine.

In 2023, Uniworld guests can visit the renowned Anne Frank House in Amsterdam; take a Bavarian country cooking class, visit a Bavarian farm or take a sausage making workshop in Germany; explore Germany’s mystical Black Forest and more.

Rivers of the World new itinerary

The Rivers of the World 2024, departing 3 October 2024 from Lima to Ho Chi Minh, will go on sale in September, 2022. Spanning 54 nights, this cruise will take 68 guests to destinations such as Machu Pichu, Iguazu Falls, Rio de Janeiro, Provence, Vienna, Halong Bay and Angkor Wat in Cambodia. This combination of four cruises includes all transfers, internal flights and the standard Uniworld inclusions.
