Zannier is the latest hotel brand to announce its Saudi Arabia debut

Zannier Zardun at Sunset – Neom for Zannier Hotels

Zannier Hotels has partnered with Saudi Arabia’s NEOM giga-development to open a luxury eco resort in the Magna region, further solidifying the Kingdom’s bold sustainable hospitality goals

Zannier Hotels has announced it will develop a luxury eco-resort in Zardun, one of Magna’s coastal destinations in northwestern Saudi Arabia. Overlooking the Gulf of Aqaba, Zannier Zardun will blend into a vast landscape that stretches from mountains and low hills to a coastal plain. The announcement is the latest in a list of luxury hotel brands who have revealed plans to debut in the Arab nation, which has been making headlines with its bold sustainability goals.

Zannier Hotels, which has a reputation for integrating its resorts into their environments throughout Europe, Africa and Asia, will construct Zannier Zardun across four square kilometres of semi-desert terrain. This restored landscape, rich with native flora and fauna, is designed to offer immersive experiences that combine luxury with sustainability.

The resort will feature 100 rooms and suites distributed across three striking signature buildings, each offering distinctive experiences. A subterranean entrance will lead visitors to a 360-degree observation deck, providing sweeping views of the Zardun landscape.

Zannier Zardun’s educational experiences will focus on nature conservation, rewilding and outdoor activities. Guests will have the opportunity to engage in trekking, mountain biking, rock climbing, stargazing, meditation and yoga. These experiences will be complemented by educational programs on sustainability, making the resort a hub for eco-conscious luxury.

The resort will also feature a series of lush oases designed to support diverse habitats, contributing to the reintroduction of native species. “Zannier Zardun epitomizes NEOM’s dedication to crafting unrivaled experiences that celebrate the precious environment and rich heritage of Magna. Together we will carefully and diligently cultivate and conserve the vibrant ecosystem along the coast for future generations” said Jeremy Lester, Executive Director, Magna.

“This partnership with Zannier Hotels reflects a unified vision where ultra-luxury and sustainability coexist in perfect harmony. Zannier Zardun charters new horizons, merging our grand ambitions and shared values to create lasting memories for our guests and visitors to cherish.”

NEOM is a groundbreaking region in northwest Saudi Arabia, focused on fostering innovation, environmental conservation and luxury living. Within NEOM, the coastal region of Magna – where Zanier Zardun, a Capella Hotels & Resorts property and 13 other luxury hotels will be located – will consist of 12 distinct destinations along 120 kilometres of the Gulf of Aqaba: Epicon, Norlana, Siranna, Utamo, Aquellum, Leyja, Zardun, Xaynor, Elanan, Gidori, Jaumur and Treyam.

Magna’s well-documented, ambitious goal is to redefine sustainable luxury living through cutting-edge architecture and technological advancements, all while protecting 95 per cent of the land for nature conservation. Its 1,600 hotel rooms, suites and apartments, along with over 2,500 premium residences, will have sustainability embedded at every stage.

Magna is NEOM’s new luxury coastal region comprising twelve destinations along 120 kilometers of exquisite Gulf of Aqaba coastline. Magna will redefine sustainable luxury living and hospitality by seamlessly blending architectural masterpieces with technological innovations amidst an awe-inspiring landscape.
