About the hotel
QT Canberra has 205 designer guestrooms with luxury amenities such as 24-hour room service. The hotel is in the centre of Canberra, close to the CBD and Capital Hill, and is a 10-minute drive from the airport. We had a large contemporary two-bedroom suite on the 13th floor with amazing sunset views over to the Telstra tower. Our suite came with a kitchen, dining room, bar, loungeroom guest toilet, and two bedrooms with ensuites. It felt more like a luxury apartment than a hotel suite.

The hotel houses a classic Barber Shop, with antique barber chairs and professional services encompassing haircuts and razor shaves.

The Capitol Bar & Grill under the QT hotel offers an extensive menu and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Italian-themed restaurant has signature antipasto plates and prime cut steaks cooked on a wood-fired grill. We all chose the Crispy Whiskey Buttermilk Chicken and it was a unanimous winner. Another thumbs-up to the side dishes: macaroni and cheese with truffle and four cheeses, crabcakes, and a creamy clam chowder. The QT Lounge is an invitation-only member’s lounge with a full-service bar and snack menu, on the top floor of QT Canberra. The hotel also is home to the popular Lucky’s Speakeasy, an art deco-themed bar.
