OAD Travel promises to take the headache out of booking in-demand dining reservations while offering stays in luxury hotels
Bookings are now open for packages via OAD travel, an integrated restaurant and hotel booking platform that guarantees access to some of the world’s most in-demand tables. Guests booking via OAD Travel can book luxury hotel stays alongside exclusive restaurant reservations. The platform was launched in February by the team behind Opinionated About Dining (OAD), a dining survey that factors experience into its rating system. Currently offered packages are available in three major Spanish culinary destinations – Barcelona, San Sebastian and Madrid. Plans for destinations including London, Paris and Copenhagen will be announced later this year.
OAD Travel simplifies gastronomic getaways by securing table and hotel reservations that are often booked out. Guests using the website can expect to pay the standard published rate for their hotel room with reservations at restaurants added at no additional charge. Restaurant bookings include a minimum spend for beverages plus a choice of tasting menus which are paid for in full on booking.
“The influence of fine-dining awards such as Michelin, World’s 50 Best Restaurants and our own OAD Top Restaurants rankings can make it exceedingly difficult for people to actually secure tables at these restaurants themselves,” said Steve Plotnicki, founder of OAD Travel and OAD. “We not only take the headache out of getting bucket-list dining reservations, we also take care of accommodations at the finest hotels in town too.”
Current hotel choices include the Mandarin Oriental in Madrid, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Arts in Barcelona and Hotel Maria Cristina in San Sebastian. In Madrid, diners can expect the option of booking reservations at DiverXO, Smoked Room, Desde 1911 and Deessa. Barcelona eats include Disfrutar, Enigma, Cocina Hermanos Torres, Alkimia and Lasarte. Travellers booking a stay in the resort town of San Sebastian via OAD Travel may delve into the tastes of Asador Etxebarri, Rekondo, Elkano, Arzak and Azurmendi.
