The cruise line’s new fly, tour and cruise package will commence in May 2019
In partnership with European river cruise operator Riviera Travel, Cruise Traveller has released an exclusive 12-night fly/tour/cruise package that showcases the romance of Paris and the medieval villages and vine-cloaked hillsides of Burgundy and Provence.
Departing on May 10, August 16, or October 11, 2019, the ‘Fabulous France’ package combines a five-night stay at a boutique hotel in Paris with a seven-night Rhone River cruise through the south of France aboard the five-star, 140-person river ship Lord Byron.
In Paris, guests can enjoy a complimentary one-day sightseeing bus pass in Paris, a day trip to beautiful Bruges in Belgium, and two days exploring the galleries and monuments of Paris. Passengers will then fly to the French Riviera and board the Lord Byron for a seven-night Rhone River cruise from the wall-enclosed, medieval city of Avignon to the gastronomic capital of Lyon through the famous wine country and picturesque scenery of Burgundy and Provence. The cruise includes daily complimentary excursions to wineries, gorges, and villages, a trip to the home of Van Gogh in Arles, and a look at the 2000-year-old Roman aqueduct of Pont du Gard, which arches 50m over a gorge as the highest aqueduct the ancient Romans ever built. From Lyon, guests will fly home to Australia.
The package is available for passengers flying from Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane or Perth.
