&Beyond’s newest expedition yacht brings luxury cruising to the remote Peruvian Amazon, offering intimate river journeys through one of the world’s most biodiverse regions
Luxury travel company &Beyond has announced its latest venture: a purpose-built expedition yacht set to explore the upper reaches of the Peruvian Amazon. The &Beyond Amazon Explorer is currently under construction in Iquitos, Peru, and will launch on 29 September 2026.
Designed to blend sustainable tourism with high-end comfort, the new yacht will travel through the remote Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, offering 3-, 4- and 7-night itineraries from Iquitos via the smaller town of Nauta.

“We’ve designed a yacht that’s sleeker and more graceful than most barge-style boats in this part of the Amazon,” says &Beyond CEO Joss Kent. “It remains small enough to access key channels, allowing us to curate an intimate river experience that delves deep into this massive conservation area.”
With only 15 suites for a maximum of 32 guests, the vessel combines the elegant profile of an ocean-going yacht with a low-impact design. Interiors, created in collaboration with Ken Freivokh and Adriana Hoyos, are inspired by Shipibo-Conibo culture and local Kené art, blending regional materials and textures with refined detailing.
Facilities will include a spa and gym, a River Retreat with pool deck and lounge, and an Explorer Centre for expert-led talks. Dining areas will feature an interactive cooking station for culinary demonstrations.
Daily excursions will explore the river’s tributaries and surrounding rainforest via skiff and kayak, with options for birdwatching, piranha fishing, guided walks, and night safaris in search of caiman and other nocturnal wildlife.

&Beyond will bring its signature guiding style to the Amazon, with local guides undergoing extensive training. “The Amazon is one of the most vital ecosystems on the planet,” says Kent. “We believe we can highlight its beauty while supporting its protection.”
In line with its conservation ethos, the company plans to support local initiatives, including river turtle population restoration, scholarships and education programs for Indigenous communities.
The announcement that follows the recent reveal of andBeyond’s upcoming luxury safari lodge at Monarto in South Australia, now open for bookings.
