Luxury Ship AYANA Lako di’a to Launch in September
The specially-built ship will be available for 2, 3 or 5 night cruises around the Komodo Islands in Indonesia, its launch coinciding with the opening of AYANA Komodo Resort, Waecicu Beach
AYANA Hotels & Resorts has announced its specially built phinisi – a traditional Indonesian two-masted sailing ship – will set sail for the first time in September.
The 54 metre-long and 11 metre-wide AYANA Lako di’a will feature nine bedrooms and will be available for 2, 3 or 5-night cruises or for private charter through the azure waters of the Komodo Islands, only a one-hour flight from Bali. The ship will also be available for weddings.
Guests will have the chance to dine beneath the stars on a private beach, dive or snorkel in the islands’ most coveted reef spots and enjoy a tour at Komodo National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home of the famous Komodo Dragon, the world’s largest species of lizard with a population of only 5,700 and not to be found anywhere else in the world.
The ship will float out the same month as the first guests check into AYANA Komodo Resort, Waecicu Beach on the island of Flores, which officially opens on 15th September. The first and only luxury resort to open on Flores, AYANA Komodo Resort will feature 13 suites and 192 premium guest rooms, each featuring ocean views with large windows to capture the sun setting behind Kukusan Island.
The resort will boast a private white sand beach and an extensive private pier, purpose-built for the AYANA Lako di’a.
