The first Australian property from Mondrian Hotels & Residences brings a design-forward offering to the Gold Coast, with a focus on food, wellness and cultural programming
Mondrian Gold Coast has officially opened, marking the debut of the Mondrian Hotels & Residences brand in Australia. Set on the beachfront at Burleigh Heads, the 208-room property adds a new option for travellers seeking a design-focused stay on the Gold Coast’s southern shores.
Developed by Vitale Property Group and designed by Fraser & Partners with interiors by Studio Carter and Alexander &CO., the hotel’s accommodation ranges from Studios and Suites to larger Homes and Beach Houses. The Sky House penthouse, located on the 24th floor, offers panoramic views across the Pacific Ocean and hinterland.

Dining and design
The property includes two restaurants led by experienced local chefs. On the ground floor, LiTO draws inspiration from Mediterranean cuisine and Burleigh’s laid-back feel. Chef Andrea Morigi, formerly of Merivale’s Uccello, oversees a menu that includes wood-fired breads, lobster bucatini and tableside tiramisu.
Upstairs, Haven offers a menu focused on regional produce and seafood. Curated by chef Aaron Teece (EST., Felix, Manly Pavilion), Haven features an open dining room, private poolside cabanas and a curated live music program. “From long lunches in the dining room to lounging poolside in a private cabana and sundown cocktails, Haven invites guests into an escape defined by flavour, sound and sea breeze,” Teece said in a statement.

Wellness, events and cultural focus
The hotel includes a spa and wellness centre, a 24/7 fitness space, magnesium plunge pools and a 24-metre pool. CIEL Spa opens to guests from 15 June, offering a selection of treatments and restorative therapies.
For events, Mondrian Gold Coast features four levels of adaptable spaces, including the Mondrian Ballroom and the VeeRoom, which occupies a high floor with coastline views.
The hotel also plans to host a regular program of artist collaborations, music showcases and other events.
Rates start from AU$749 per night in a Studio King.
