Luxury touring company Captain’s Choice returns to India in October 2023 with an exclusive new journey.

Captain’s Choice will escort 58 guests on its 15-Day The Spirit and Colours of India by Private Jet tour, departing from Singapore on 31 October 2023.

The Boeing 730-700 aircraft will travel to such destinations as Agra, Varanasi, Chennai Mahabalipuram, Kochi, Udaipur and Jaipur.

One highlight of the itinerary will be timing designed to coincide with the joyous Diwali festival, one of India’s most iconic celebrations, which symbolises the victory of light over darkness.

The journey begins with a night in Singapore, before departing for the city of Agra and a first glimpse of the Taj Mahal from your hotel, explored in more detail during an early morning visit the next day.

The itinerary will also see stops and exploration in Varanasi, one of the holiest of Hindu cities, a visit to Sarnath, a nearby archaeological site, where it is said that Buddha delivered his first sermon in the forest; a boat ride on the Ganges River to Dashashwamedh Ghat to a private Aarti ceremony; and Chennai, a city renowned for its fine tradition of music and dance.

The journey will continue to the city of Kochi, which was once the centre of the Indian spice trade; the 500-year-old St Francis Church, famous for its colourful murals adorning the walls; and a cruise along the Kerala Backwaters.

Next, it’s on to visit Udaipur, a city featuring several white marble palaces where guests will take a sunset cruise to view Udaipur’s romantic landscape and close-up views of the opulent Jag Mandir palace.

In Jaipur, guests will stay at Oberoi Rajvilas, and enjoy a hot-air balloon ride above the ‘Pink City’. A gala dinner at Oberoi Rajvilas, to celebrate Diwali will be a highlight, before a visit to the World Heritage-listed Jantar Mantar, with its mystical ancient astronomical instruments.

Journey packages start from AUD$45,900 per person twin share.
