Patmos Aktis, a Dodecanese Island resort, brings a contemporary twist to traditional Greek craftsmanship and tastes

Following an extensive renovation, Marriott International’s Luxury Collection will make its debut in the Dodecanese Islands with the opening of Patmos Aktis, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa this June. Patmos Aktis’s location on the Greek isle of Patmos offers guests a luxe escape nestled amid traditional fishing villages, secluded coves, volcanic terrain, art and religious history. The resort aims to foster a deep connection with the sea and surrounding natural beauty for guests, with access to the nearby Grikos Bay via Aktis Beach.

Reimagined by Stylianidis Vaggelis Architects and Anastassiadis Architecture & Design, all 56 guestrooms, suites and villas have been renovated, with additional guestrooms planned for 2025. The interior’s colour palette of cream, white and soft blue tones will be visible throughout the resort, complemented by local artwork and traditional Greek craftsmanship honouring the island’s rich ancestry.

Patmos Aktis will offer a range of dining experiences including a new signature restaurant, Plefis Tavern, and a bar and terrace overlooking the Aegean Sea. The beachside Plefis Tavern puts a contemporary twist on Mediterranean delicacies while embodying the charm of a traditional Greek taverna.

Inspired by the sacred history of Patmos, the resort’s spa offerings include rejuvenating rituals and signature treatments designed with detoxification and relaxation in mind. Guest experiences at Anasa Wellness & Spa begin with rose petal infused balancing drinks followed by sessions featuring Tibetan bells and beauty treatments incorporating rose essence.

Bed and Breakfast rates start from £255 per night.
