Soneva Secret has begun welcoming guests to the sparkling waters of the Maldives’ Haa Dhaalu Atoll. The first resort in the Haa Dhaalu Atoll, Soneva Secret features 14 overwater and island villas located on a private island and includes the Maldives’ only floating villa – the Castaway. Crusoe Villas is a two-storey hideaway in the midst of a lagoon and reachable only by boat.

The getaway was designed to offer the ultimate in Soneva hospitality and service standards. Thirty years in the making, Soneva Secret features personalised service in private villas surrounded by the nature of Haa Dhaalu Atoll. Each villa features a team of three, which includes a Barefoot Guardian, Barefoot Assistant and chef. Unique lagoon villas and the first floating villa in the Maldives, the Castaway, are opening bookings later this year.

Dedicated private chefs at each Soneva Secret villa present personalised dining with flavours from around the globe. Guests can also explore culinary experiences across the resort including wine pairings and limited-edition menus at Out of This World, a castaway restaurant and observatory. A winery in the lagoon is reachable by zipline while So Primitive offers a firepit dining experience. The island hub of casual dining, The Living Room, also features a lounge venue that is home to a library, boutique and Soneva’s ice cream, chocolate and cheese and charcuterie rooms.

A wide array of experiences are on offer at Soneva Secret such as swimming with manta rays and turtles, sunset dolphin cruises, a castaway picnic and marine biology and dive centre. For younger guests, the Den is a technology-free zone that offers opportunity for children to delve into the unique natural surroundings of Soneva Secret.
