St. Regis Hotels & Resorts debuts its Oman coastal haven

The St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort opens, blending local heritage with St. Regis luxury and celebrated rituals at Oman’s first Guerlain spa

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of The St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort, marking the brand’s debut in Oman. The resort combines local heritage with the St. Regis’ avant-garde design and glamour, bringing the brand’s signature experiences and exquisite dining to Muscat.

Jenni Benzaquen, Senior Vice President of The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, and Bulgari Hotels & Resorts, remarked, “The debut of the St. Regis brand in Oman marks a significant milestone as we continue to grow our portfolio of the best addresses around the world. Oman is known for its vibrant cultural heritage, pristine landscapes, and warm hospitality. We look forward to inviting guests to experience this thriving leisure destination, coupled with the anticipatory service and cherished rituals for which the St. Regis brand is renowned.”

The resort is in Al Mouj, one of Oman’s exclusive neighbourhoods known for luxurious beachfront living. It offers a gateway to Oman’s cultural wonders, including the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the Al Hajar Mountains, Wadi Shab, and the Daymaniyat Islands. Positioned on the tranquil Al Mouj waterfront, it boasts a secluded white sand beach and views of the adjacent award-winning golf course. Its superyacht-style architecture draws inspiration from the surrounding environment and features a unique wave design.

The St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort features 250 guest rooms and suites, including duplexes with expansive ocean, golf course, or city views. Rooms include private balconies, walk-in wardrobes, and luxurious amenities. The St. Regis Butler Service ensures personalised attention to each guest’s preferences.

The resort’s dining options include nine distinct venues, such as Hakkasan for modern Cantonese cuisine and Em Sherif for Lebanese dining. Roberto’s offers contemporary seafood-inspired Italian cuisine, while COYA presents authentic Peruvian dishes. Other options include Novikov Café, Karibu, and Zorba. The Lounge serves a locally inspired St. Regis Afternoon Tea, and Sukkar offers desserts. The Stage, inspired by the King Cole Bar, features classic cocktails and live entertainment.

The first Guerlain Spa in Oman offers 11 treatment rooms, steam rooms, and saunas, with a wellness menu inspired by Omani traditions. Fitness facilities include a gym, multiple swimming pools, a private beach, a padel court, and Al Mouj Golf course access. The resort’s Family Traditions programme includes the Adventure Hub Children’s Club.

The resort’s event spaces include two ballrooms for up to 1000 guests, a private beach, and gardens for intimate occasions. Tarek Mourad, General Manager, stated, “The St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort heralds a new beacon of resort glamour to Oman. We are excited to welcome both local and international guests seeking unparalleled luxury to experience the first St. Regis in the country.”
