Aman announces second Janu property: Janu Dubai
Janu Dubai will open in 2027 in the business heart of Dubai International Financial District (DIFC)
Janu, the new sister brand of Aman, will enter the Middle East in 2027, with the debut of Janu Dubai in the heart of Dubai International Financial District (DIFC). The announcement from Aman Group comes hot on the heels of Janu Tokyo’s opening in March this year in Tokyo’s Azabudai Hills.
Janu Dubai will be ideally located close to premium retail, restaurants and entertainment venues as well as Downtown Dubai, and will offer sweeping views of the Burj Khalifa on one side and garden vistas on the other. Renowned architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron, known for its innovative and award-winning designs, will helm the architecture of the project, which will emphasise a connection to nature, featuring expansive outdoor terraces and balconies adorned with abundant greenery.
Janu Dubai will feature approximately 150 hotel rooms, a limited number of branded and fully serviced residences and a members’ club. The property will also include several distinct dining and bar concepts, dedicated event spaces, and an extensive wellness and fitness centre.
Aman has positioned Janu, derived from the Sanskrit word for “soul”, as a lifestyle brand dedicated to restorative travel, offering transformative experiences that celebrate genuine human interaction, playful expression and social wellness.
“Following the successful opening of Janu Tokyo, the announcement of Janu Dubai marks my continued commitment to solidifying Janu’s robust pipeline and advancing our strategic vision for the future of luxury hospitality,” stated Vlad Doronin, Chairman and CEO of Aman Group.
The announcement of Janu Dubai highlights Aman Group’s plans to expand its presence in the Middle East, with future properties in the pipeline for destinations such as Saudi Arabia’s AlUla, Wadi Safar and Diriyah Gate.
