The pop-up COMO Weekend is back for a second round, on 5-7 April in Singapore. The weekend is part of a new global initiative for the COMO Group where they bring like-minded guests together in various global destinations for exclusive, one-off experiences. These unique events feature fashion, wellness, food, wine and a hotel stay for out-of-towners.
Attendees can expect a programme hosted at COMO’s two Singapore destinations, COMO Dempsey and COMO Orchard. The leafy complex of COMO Dempsey houses restaurants, bars, culinary and fashion retail in a former military barracks. COMO Dempsey is also home to Massimo Bottura’s latest Asian restaurant, Torno Subito, which is dedicated to La Dolce Vita. Other COMO Group restaurants in this location include The Dempsey Cookhouse and Bar by Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Michelin-starred Candlenut by Malcolm Lee and Culina.
Occupying a single tower at 30 Bideford Road, COMO Orchard includes a rooftop pool, the 156-room COMO Metropolitan Singapore hotel, a brand-new COMO Shambhala wellness centre and two floors of Club21 fashion retail. COMO Orchard also features two new eateries: the parisian pâtisserie Céderic Grolet and COTE, Simon Kim’s American-Korean steakhouse.
The COMO Weekend will be headlined by the Spring-Summer 2024 Presentation of Zimmermann at Club21 at COMO Orchard at 6:30 pm on 5th April. The Australian label will showcase its womenswear and children’s collections in an intimately-scaled event with over 60 looks recently shown at Paris Fashion Week. Priority, space-available access to the VIP Zimmerman show is available to guests booking a two-night stay at COMO Metropolitan Singapore.
Pop-up dining experiences include a special dinner on all three nights at COMO Cuisine, which is on the second floor of COMO Orchard. Resident chef Chutipol Laoyodtrakul and guest chef Tshering Lhaden from COMO Uma Bhutan will prepare the meals. The Himalayan culinary lineup includes caviar and white asparagus, chanterelle mushrooms with green chili and cheese (sisi shamu datshi) and egg drop tofu soup with river weed (churu gongdo).
Attendees can enjoy a caviar and wine masterclass led by master sommelier Mathias Camilleri and fine food specialist Vincent Jakircevic on 6th and 7th April from 4:30 pm to 6 pm at Culina at COMO Dempsey. Guests can expect to savour Kaviari caviar varieties such as Transmontanus, Oscietra Prestige and Kristal.
Live jazz music and cocktails are planned for 8:30 pm on 6th April across two COMO Dempsey venues: Ippoh Tempura Bar by Ginza Ippoh and The Dempsey Cookhouse and Bar. Resident mixologist Francis Madrigal will be serving signature favourites like Lychee Raspberry Bellini and Mandarin Mojito as well as more personalised orders.
