Private island oasis in the Maldives

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has announced its first private island property, set to open late 2016. The five-acre Four Seasons Private Island Maldives at Voavah will be available for exclusive use for up to 22 guests, with seven bedrooms, a separate beach house, dive centre, spa and 18.9-metre private yacht.

Four Seasons has conceptualised its fourth property in the Maldives as a customisable, private and memorable offering for its discerning clientele.

The island is located in the world’s only exclusive-use UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, in the Baa Atoll region of the Maldives.

With experiences including dining on a sandbank; sunset cocktails on board the resort’s private yacht, Voavah Summer, where you can catch your own sashimi; beach parties; themed dining evenings (for instance, Lobster Celebration); or flying in your own entertainment for a private party, Four Seasons Private Island Maldives at Voavah sets a new benchmark in bespoke, luxury travel.

The private island resort will be a 40-minute seaplane transfer from Male International Airport and is set to open its shores in late 2016. Island rates will vary based on customisation, but starting rates are from US$46,000 (about A$62,322) per night, excluding taxes and service charges.
