Celebrated chef Danielle Alvarez is hosting an epicurean winter weekend escape at Halcyon House, a boutique seaside hotel in Northern New South Wales. Alvarez, who began her career at Napa Valley’s three Michelin-starred French Laundry, has spent her career at restaurants including California’s Chez Panisse and headed her own venue, Fred’s in Paddington.
The weekend program includes an intimate masterclass with Alvarez, daily breakfast at Paper Daisy (the hotel restaurant helmed by ex-Noma chef Ben Devlin), poolside cocktails and canapés, and a four course dinner with paired wines presented by Alvarez, Devlin and the Paper Daisy team.
Halcyon House is a Small Luxury Hotel of the World and pays homage to its beach-motel roots with suites and rooms decorated with an eclectic mix of mismatched upholstery and bright textiles, art and antiques. The two-bedroom Halcyon Suite offers a separate living and dining area with pool, beach and ocean views.
Weekend package runs from Friday 18th August to Sunday 20th and prices start from A$1,740.
